Wendy Harcourt joined the International Institute of Social Studies of the Erasmus University, The Hague, in November 2011 after twenty years working at the Society for International Development, Rome, as Director of Programmes and Editor of the journal Development. At ISS, she teaches social policy and undertakes research on sustainable development, ecology, movement organizing, sexuality, and gender. She is the author of such books as Women Reclaiming Sustainable Livelihoods: Spaces Lost, Spaces Gained and Body Politics in Development: Critical Debates in Gender and Development, which received the 2010 Feminist Women Studies Association Book Prize. She is actively involved in several transnational feminist and civil society development networks.
