Nicolás Lucas

Nicolás Lucas is a consultant currently working with the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research, the Argentina Securities Exchange Commission on environmental issues related to capital markets, the Chair of the Agriculture Committee of Argentina National Congress House, and Red de Acción Política on sustainable development. From 2007 to 2011, he was Secretary for Sustainable Development and Environment of the Province of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, and was elected Vice-president of the Federal Environmental Council in 2009. He previously served as the head of the office for Engagement and Outreach of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment at the World Resources Institute, Director General of Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano, and Environment editor of The Buenos Aires Herald. He holds a Law degree from the Catholic University of Argentina and an MA in Public Policy from The George Washington University.
